The art is about the process. A therapeutic remedy if you will. Melding all materials and experimenting with anything that will leave an imprint. It’s about making something out of mistakes. I do not try to make things that are only beautiful but to share a distant story covered by layer upon layer of discernable elements. It is a collection of images, a life long sketchbook, things I have jumbled in my mind that I can not organize in another way. You wonder, “What does this mean?” or, “Why am I looking at this? And then you just feel.
Why do I call myself Suprachib? I get this question a lot. Well I made it up a while ago when I was into doing super cute work...so cute it would make your eyes bleed. That was my goal anyway.
Supra=derived from my full last name which, well obviously starts with SUPRA_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _, and goes on with ten more letters.
Chib=well here is a clear definition of where this is derived from:
Chibi (ちび?, can also be written 禿び?[1]) is a Japanese word meaning "short person" or "small child." The word has gained currency amongst fans of manga and anime. Its meaning is of someone or some animal that is small. It can be translated as "little," but is not used the same way as chiisana (tiny, small, little in Japanese). A prototypical example of the former usage in the original Japanese which brought the term to the attention of Western fans is Chibiusa, a pet name for the diminutive daughter of Sailor Moon formed from Chibi Usagi ("Little Usagi").[2] (FROM WIKIPEDIA)..
